With new makeup dropping at dizzying rates, we've taken it upon ourselves to make it easier for you to sort through the latest lipsticks, foundations, eye shadows, the hottest (and sometimes unexpected) collaborations, and even the advent of the next, big celebrity-backed brand. We're not exaggerating when we say Allure editors eagerly pore over every single launch to find the standouts each month. Although we're partial to our particular favorites, there's something new and shiny for everyone. It might take a little digging, but the resulting treasure is totally worth it.
If you're like us, your heart rate probably spikes whenever you discover a new makeup category, improved formula on an old classic, or real strides towards sustainability being made. In 2021 alone, we're seeing product categories like skin tints, cream blushes and bronzers, colorful liners, and brow waxes explode in popularity. It's enough to make anyone consider an overhaul of their makeup collection to make room for new goodies — or to add a select few to their rotations and jazz up their everyday look. As the world slowly opens back up, don these products for a day in the office or for a night out with friends. After over a year of staying indoors, quite literally anything goes.
Just as we always do with hair and skin care, we're sharing the best new makeup dropping in September that we recommend adding to your cart. As the colder months peek at us from around the corner, it might be time to refresh your beauty routine and experiment with all of the newness that's available at your fingertips. And if you need more makeup inspiration, you can always check out last month's launches that are equally as fresh and exciting.
Be sure to check back weekly for new makeup launches that are dropping this month. (Trust us, you don't want to miss out.)

Rose Inc. by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's beauty collection, Rose Inc., has just dropped and it definitely doesn't disappoint — especially for all of you minimalist makeup lovers out there. The debut lineup is packed with two skin-care products (an exfoliating toner and brightening serum) and five makeup products (blush, concealer, lipstick, eyebrow gel, and a blush brush) that manage to toe the line between trendy and classic.
Take the Blush Divine Radiant Lip & Cheek Color (pictured above in Azalea, a rich berry), for example. Cream blushes have gotten so much love this year and this one is spiked with hydrating, skin-conditioning ingredients like squalane, vitamin E, marine ferment extract (minimizes excess shine), and ceramides for smooth application and wear. "Its balm-like texture felt like a tall glass of water for my lips but didn't feel heavy like a gloss, so it's great for creating monochromatic makeup looks," Allure commerce writer Jennifer Hussein said in her review.

Olive & June The Fall Box
Study up because Olive & June's The Fall Box is an A+ lineup of fresh shades that'll pair so well with all of your sweaters you're about to bust out. Geometry might not have been your favorite subject in school but a dashing hunter green polish named Geometry might convince you otherwise. We're also in the mood for Art Class, a muted eggplant, and definitely reading up on World Lit, a true mauve.
As usual, each individual shade costs $8 a pop while the full box set rings in at a cool $80. Besides the usual tools (clipper, nail polish remover, etc.), you'll also receive a navy Poppy tool, a petite pink notebook, and a matching pink Olive & June pen.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Matte Setting Powder
It's no secret that we're fans of Make Up For Ever's Ultra HD lineup, which was created as a skin-smoothing solution to the harsh, 4K lenses used in TV and film that pick up everything. Now you can add the waterproof and sweat-proof Ultra HD Matte Setting Powder as the last step of your makeup routine for a weightless, blurring, and naturally matte finish. And caking? You can forget about that happening. A little goes a long way with all six of these tinted shades (Tan Neutral is shown above) — simply swirl your brush, tap off the excess product, and witness your shine and pores "disappear."
